Last 31 - Day 4

Day 4
Here's Jay adding the final touch to our little tree on the sun porch.  This tree brings back so many good memories from our Ghost Mill Days.  There are always some great memories that come from our old store days!
And here again tweeking the lights to get it just right...

Yeah, I'm caught up with my posting!!

Last 31

Day 3
Saturday, I took the time to go shopping with my neice Shelly.  This is my sash made out of the receipt from my shopping.  A friend asked me to pick up some stuff for her and this is the result of our excursion.  To bad none of it was ours! : )

Last 31

Day 2 - Here's my very messy work table.  This is what happens when I am busy creating.  Create now clean later!

Last 31

Okay so, I am going to take a part in the Last 31.  This is where you take a picture every day of the last month of the year.  This sounds like a great way to catalog your December actually it sounds like a great way to catalog your life.  My Grandma Sharpe use to do this but, with calendars.  For every day she wrote down what she did on that day and it was a wonderful living journal of her life.  If only we could be so disciplined to actually bother doing the same thing.  So presently, I am 4 days behind.  So here it goes Day 1.
Day 1 - Here I am putting the last ornament on the tree!!

Sketch Challenge

I will admit that I completely procrastinated on this challenge.  I knew what I had to do and why I waited so close to the dead line is crazy because when I went to submit the card - the post had already been locked.  Daddy, always said, "When you snooze, you lose."!  Oh, well I put it together in record time and it shows - I am sure.

The scan shows a smudge around the 2nd snowflake - don't know why but, there is no smudge.

Thanks for looking!

From a friend...

I received this sweet card in the mail from a good friend.  The card is great but, the sentiment is the best - it just makes you feel good when someone says something so sweet.  Thanks Kay for the perfect gift in the mail.  Love ya lots!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Today, I hope that you sit back and take time to reflect on all those things we have to be Thankful for.  Not just the big obvious things but, all those little ones that we sometimes forget to acknowledge.  May this post find you surrounded by your family and friends both old and new.  My wish for each of you is to have a THANKFUL - Thanksgiving.  Be Thankful for the new dishes that don't taste as good as your moms because you have something on your table - things can always be worse.  Please take the time to Pray for all of those that are less fortunate as you are and pray that somewhere out there someone is helping feed the bellies of the hungry.  May you not over eat and may you have a peaceful day with your family.  May God bless each and every one and most of all........................
from our house to yours!!

Thanksgiving Cards

I am So Grateful that I finished my Thanksgiving cards just in the nick of time to get them in the mail to be delivered by Wednesday.  I hope you enjoy my cards and I included the back of the cards so, you can see how I decided to use my JanaMark.  Hope you enjoy.  I start my Christmas cards tomorrow or that is the plan so, I will be back tomorrow with something - I just won't promise that it will be a Christmas Card.  Thanks for looking.

Same concept as my Thank You card from the day before!

Just a little special postmark for my JanaMark that I included on the back of each card.  To the left it shows November but, for some reason it didn't show up on the scan.

Another Thanksgiving that had to be different due to the design of the Thank You card was all going to the same person!
I welcome your comments!

Acorns

Okay so, I got this wonderful inspiration from Aarons Booth and I needed to make a Thank You card for some friends that have went over and beyond the call of duty.  Meaning they have been awesome since, I broke my foot.  I'm stopping by the hardware store tomorrow to pick up a nice fall plant for their porch and give them this much over due Thank You card.  Images are from CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  Check out the Cricut AP cartridge here!!  I promise you won't be disappointed.  Come back on Tuesday to see my Thanksgiving cards - gotta get them out on the wire by the afternoon!! : )
Happy Escapades!!
Hope you enjoy!!

Holiday Wishes

CTMH has an awesome special for November that includes a stamp set called Holiday Wishes.  I am "so lovin'" this stamp set.  Below are a few examples of cards made with Holiday Wishes.  I would love to take credit for the design of the two but, they are not my originals.  For the ornament card I will have to add credit later and for the tree card that design is all CTMH with a couple tweeks of my own.  Hope you enjoy as much as I and my lovely group of gals did!!  Have a great Sunday.

Please excuse the not so perfect scans as I am just getting use to a All In One Printer.  I hope it turns out to be everything my hubby hopes it is.

Jarrad & Helen's wedding

I am so proud to present the love of my life Jarrad & Helen!  I helped raise this young man since he was 8 years old.  It pleases me so much to see how he has grown into a fine young man.  He has chosen a beautiful young woman to be his partner & I as his step mother wish him the best of luck in the future!  They were married Saturday, April 2, 2011.

Mother Nature

I would really love to post you a beautiful picture of a lightening storm but, instead I will show you the results of that storm.  I must say that this storm REALLY scared me!  This storm also left me with no use of my house phone and (gasp) no internet.
FYI this type of damage involved flames.

The tree didn't fair very well either!
I know mother nature is very unpredictable and I appreciate her job however, I'm sending her a memo asking for a relocation of her next fury. Hell hath no fury like a woman scourned!!  Mother nature fits in that category!

Patchwork of Life

I knew that I would be out of town for the majority of the day but, it shouldn't stop me from posting something right?  Right!  So, I wanted to share the card I made for my darling husband.  He was very impressed that I had the patience to get it done!  I hope you enjoy it!
Maybe I will have some interesting photos or news from my day trip!  Hope you enjoy!
Psst.... I was very impressed I had the patience to get it done........
